TURKEY DAY!
Folks, with all this talk about other "turkeys" I just wanted to take a minute to say Happy Thanksgiving to ALL of you. A long time ago today our ancestors played "circus" on the indians... Sure we will take those beautiful blankets...All you want in return is a little land...SURE! oh well...At least we get to eat good meal!
HAHA, Hope you all have a good day... Eat lots and enjoy the games on TV! Spend time with family and enjoy...Some may not have much free time left! CLANK CLANK go the jail house bars...Maybe I will come up with Christmas story for ya'll! Might as well enjoy it.

I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all, even the anonymous' that are opposed to this blog but are still able to voice their opinion. What a country! Of course, now you have to make up a name so that we can tell who we are addressing. So, David all I want for Christmas is your resignation and I understand I may get my wish soon. Yeahhhhh! I also would like to say to, thetruthis, great job! I couldn't have done better myself and you know I am on it. You are so impressive and I appreciate you doing this Pro-Bono. Yes... I agree melbeacher. Who are you people, and exactly what is your problem? Why are you here causing trouble in our town? David Syrkus has done nothing but good for this town. I've watched him work round the clock for weeks on end after two hurricanes, sacrificing the needs and wants of his family, to be here to protect and serve the Town that hired him.
The only possible reason you have is "A" you are Dean Darling, and you can't get over the fact that Chief Syrkus decided you were not suited for the position of Police Officer in our town. (And your insane reaction to rejection only serves to prove that he was right in not hiring you to begin with)
or "B" you are Steve Walters, and you want the Chief to resign, because he refuses to let you micromanage the department YOU resigned from years ago. Face it Steve… You are no longer the Police Chief…. You are no longer “De-facto” mayor… you are just a commissioner with a puppet who refuses to relinquish control.
Please…. We have a community that we should all be proud of. Dragging David Syrkus and his family through the mud trying to force him to resign does this town absolutely no good.

Okay big_ram Now is your chance to prove yourself and do everyone a favor. I demand to see the absolute undeniable printed evidence that this is the truth. You have until Monday 10:00AM to produce it. You have allowed someone to make a statement of fact. Where is the proof? If you cannot back up this statement with proof then we will be meeting very soon.
Please forward the document proving this statment to The Melbourne Beach Town Hall. Failure to do so within the stated time period may have legal consequences.
We will be contacting Melbourne Beach Town Hall(along with a copy of the comment) on Monday for the results. No more excuses.

You’ve stirred up a hornets nest, and for some reason, you think that there is just one member of Melbourne Beach using multiple names who is posting rebuttal to your insane attack on our town and its chief. I’m none of the people you think I am. I don’t even have any idea who they are. What I do know is that you are engaged in some very destructive behavior, and I sincerely do not understand your motivation.
If David Syrkus had done anything wrong in Melbourne Village, why would the mayor take the time to travel to our town and speak in his defense before our town commission?
The current chief of Melbourne Village claimed that he couldn’t find items in David Syrkus’ personnel file, and claimed that David must have stolen them… then after he’s called in FDLE (Who said there ain’t nothing wrong here folks… move along”) and called in Channel 9 to air a story saying the documents are missing… he finally finds them… misfiled by the custodian of those documents.
I haven’t seen David’s degree… I don’t know where it was issued… but I have taken many courses outside of a College or University which are recognized as fully transferable credits by major universities. Yes… two of my degrees include credits for coursework I did outside of the University before I even considered working on a degree. I’d have to assume that David Syrkus has attended many workshops and courses throughout the many years of his career as a police officer, and I’d also have to assume that many of those course credits are fully recognized by any number of colleges and universities across this country. How David Syrkus received his degree is immaterial… the fact is that a degree was issued by a College or University which was recognized by the Town of Melbourne Beach.
I’ve never intentionally done anything wrong in a real estate transaction, but I’m sure that if someone was out to get me, and they looked over every document that was signed in the course of my limited real estate purchases and sales, someone could find something wrong somewhere.
As long as you want to speculate as to who I am, allow me to do the same. You must be someone who did not receive a job offer from David Syrkus... was passed over for promotion by David Syrkus…. Was Fired by David Syrkus for being an incompetent boob… or you are Steve Walters… refusing to relinquish control.

Syrcus work around the clock HAHAHA. Give us some slack here. Did you really think he was such a great man for volunteering his time to the community well Bull Sh--. He worked alright and charged the town for every single hour, 24 hours a day during the hurricane! So did the manager. When Commisisoner Walters found out he was pissed and brought it up in a meeting and the manager had to settle for another 2 or 3 weeks off instead of 600 hours of extra time he said he earned in his 6 months on the job because his contract said he worked a minimum of 40 hours. None of the other commissioners had the guts to say anything about this RIP OFF so sat there and let the manager and chief screw the town. Must have been horrible for the chief and manager while all the residents suffered in 100 degree weather without power for about a week they had air conditioning free food hot showers at city hall. HA HA. Grow up melb. bch. resident and smell the stink.
Concerned Citizen of Melbourne Beach, Is this THREAT being made in an official capacity? If so, then I request the mayor order an investigation as to why you feel you can threaten an individual. You said "we will be meeting very soon," Sounds like a threat to me. Is it you David? Was a nerve struck? The only one to receive documented truth will be a State Attorney! Not you, that's for sure. We don't want docs. to vanish again. I say to you; Demand away! You have some nerve. Why don't you have your resignation ready by 10:00 am Monday morning?
I did notice where you didn't address the "woodpecker" issue, care to elaborate on that one? How about ordering one of your officers to "write the mayor's wife a ticket for whatever you can?"
