Hey Golf, thanks for the new thread. Maybe this time we can stay on issue. Who knows, maybe there will be a lot of ex-wives watching on the 29th, watching what happens to thieving ex husbands.

Think you need to place that blame elsewhere. I doubt that anyone on this blog had a thing to do with his birth. What do you think about the way MelBeach has reacted to the knowledge they gained from DD about the Circus? You want everyone to sign their comments but didn't touch on the subject of what happens to those who do speak out at meetings or post with their real names.

I made a few phone calls and found that this shaa, as you call him, was friendly to the circus and shook his hand last night. Was that kind of like "kissing babies" even though we don't like babies? Shake hands with the ex-chief cause he might just get me a few votes or shake hands cause he is still my buddy, you know, his crimes weren't against me syndrome that appears to be catching on in MelBeach.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone happen to look at the last financial statement David Syrkus filed? Did he report any income from B&B Irrigation & Landscaping Inc in which he was an officer? Looks like your liquidating your assets David, need attorney's fees or are you planning on taking a lengthy trip out of town? Just wondering.

I think you just answered the question we have all been asking about David Syrkus and why he feels like he can just screw with anyone he feels like.
HE THINKS HE'S SMARTER AND TOUGHER THAN EVERYONE! Everyone he's ever done anything to has just taken his crap and dealt with the aftermath of their lives in ruins. I don't feel bad at all for what he's going through because everyone I know that he has ruined, including the last interim chief of MB, has had to pick themselves up and get their lives straightened out after knowing this evil person. As for DD, (not Dean Darling) he pissed off Syrkus by making that comment about the town of MB having a black eye because of Syrkus. Low and behold it was only a matter of time before Syrkus enacted his revenge on him. It is what it is, you mess with David Syrkus or just breath the same air he breaths on a bad day you will pay. Or, if you don't help him enact his revenge he will turn on you. I wonder what happened to him when he was a child, isn't that what all evil people blame the way they are on their childhood? Oh well, looks like he made some money today. The question is, will he report it, and he is still on the payroll which means he does still have to report the income. Guess how much? Hey David, make sure you tell the IRS!

I say if the people of MelBeach or it's Commission feel or have heard the possibility of the circus being brought back to work, then they should get rid of the TM now. How in the world could the public respect it's police if they are led by a crook.

Cagney, when you have a weak town manager who sides with employees over the residents who pay his salary, these things uinfortunately happen. As your newspaper article stated, he suspends employees for bad behaviour with pay.
He is the first town manager I have ever seen to allow an officer to continue to work while under criminal investigation.

Hope to answer your several questions.
First, treatment of David Syrkus is a legal matter and every action by the Town Commission should be guided by advice from the Town Attorney. Your acting attorney, Mr Tsmoutales, was the attorney for TMV during my two year tenure as Mayor.
Personally, I would take the strongest action possible, following the attorney's advice. On this blog, I never see anything pertaining to comments by the Town attorney. During the Commission meetings, I would expect lots of questions to be asked of the TA regarding the effects of various possible actions pertaining David Syrkus.
Second, regarding reprecussions for speaking out; there should be none!
However,slander and libel are considerations that should be in the minds of all who have something to say. Words should be carefully used to avoid violating limitations set by laws governing these matters.
I did apply as interim Town Manager of TMB. Just before applying to Melbourne Beach,I was runner-up for the TM position in the Town Of Orchid (35 applicants, just south of Sebastian Inlet). However, I'm happily self-employed as a commercial photographer which is a dream career. This has been my profession for 32 years and I don't know what I was thinking when I applied for these TM positions.
I have many friends in Melbourne Beach but never talk of the politics.
I've admired the look of your Town since moving to Brevard in 1980.
I've had lots of contact with people who influence community life in Melbourne Beach and it's always been a positive experience.
I'm not currently holding any elected position. I'm on a TMV committee but that's it for now. The future is unknown. Currently I'm trying to achieve my 5th consecutive All-America recognition in the sport of triathlon, run two businesses and be a good father and husband.
Regarding David Syrkus:If what I've learned about this man is true, I'm truly saddened about any inaction on my part, to curtail the destructive influence he may have had while serving as Chief of Melbourne Village. This is a cautious way of saying

Ya know Rob, a whole lot of people were fooled, and not just you so don't take so personally. What I don't get is that the MB commissioners were told over and over but all they do is attack the messenger. All too often this happens when "incompetents” are voted in. These “incomps” have a hard time understanding that they were voted in by the "PEOPLE" not the "EMPLOYEES." Sad but true.
Maybe after David either reaches a plea or is found guilty by a jury of his peers the "sell outs" in MB will finally see that they have been backing the wrong person. I personally doubt it because a couple of them just aren't that bright. None the less, it is what it is; David Syrkus pulled the wool over a lot of eyes which was pretty frustrating for others who couldn't figure out why those people were so easy to fool. I guess some need to be able to say, "I'm personal friends with a police chief." Not too impressive is it?

Hello All, I am back in town now! I do believe I said in the last thread that the other blog would be short lived. They are like those idiots who bombed our twin towers. They cause havoc amonst the masses and then crawl their dumb asses back into their caves until they come up with another plan. They'll be back I'm sure but with differnt names but the same VULGAR language and made up crap. We have to change the thread again because we are at our maximum for this one. Oh, and 4 days and counting!
