Syrkus told Drinkwater that he "did not learn about those two documents until he was contacted by FDLE."
HIS GIRL FRIEND SIGNED AS A WITNESS. IS HE SAYING SHE COMMITTED THE FORGERIES? HOW WOULD A LIVE IN GIRL FRIEND END UP SIGNING TWO LEGAL DOCUMENTS (in the same building as he worked) THAT GIVES HIM THE ENTIRE HOME WITHOUT HIS KNOWLEDGE?

Patty did lead the meeting with her resignation and several citizens are concerned about the mayors "waffling" when it comes to decisions.
The TM acts as if he has to pay tribute to the ex-chief by giving the peoples money in the form of comp time. Could it be that he thinks he owes the ex-chief something? Why didn't he fire the jerk, as legal had said he could?

Does anyone know why the new TM has not had a second hearing to get Davie off the employee list?
Is the Town waiting for a new budget so they can pay Davie off for all the so called comp time?
And how does that make the interim Chief feel about his position? Wouldn't he feel better getting this over with, once and for all, so that the Department can move forward?

Town commissioners have been hesitant to take an official position on their police administrator's case, saying they believed their chief hadn't committed any crimes while working for the town, and that any employment action would have to come from the town manager's office.
Since the State Attorney's decision last week to pursue the case, Chief Syrkus has not returned calls for comment.
Although he has been reluctant to comment on the case in the past, he has said he was confident the case would be resolved in his favor and has called the charges against him a "malicious vendetta."
Poor Davie, I wonder now if his list of people picking on him includes FDLE and tomorrow will it also include the judge who sets a date for trial.

You can't read people's minds from a few postings on a blog.
The Mayor does not have the responsibility to run Commissioners. The title means he runs the meeting, otherwise he too is one vote. Let's not pretend that any Mayor is telling Commissioners what to do.
MelBeach's problem is they don't turn out people who come and disrupt the meetings. A few time being put out the door for disruptive behaviour and the rowdy groups would either straighten up or not attend.

Here's the scoop, Davie was no where to be seen today in the court house. The docket soundings went on as usual without davie boy being called. I am stunned at how people dress for court. Unbelievable. Anyway, no lawyer, no one from Tanner's office and no davie. Either he plead out behind closed doors or he is now on the docket soundings for August 11. Don't know much else. I did speak with one of our attornies from the SA's office who showed me that indeed Syrkus was on the docket for today at 8:30 and had no further information than that, i.e., he wasn't familiar with the case other than he knew who Surkus was but that his office isn't handling the case due to an executive order. We'll just have to do some snooping to see what the heck happened today. I really don't believe that he will get off with a technicality or anything else. As for the statute of limitations, FDLE researched that and wouldn't have made an arrest, even the half ass one they did, if the statute was an issue here. I will admit though, waiting really bites!
Hey Guys, the hearing today was postponed.
I have heard that Davie was the main reason it was postponed. He heard that the only plea he had coming was a plea of "GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS", at which he began to cry and lay on the floor kicking and screaming for Mama. He couldn't be forced off the floor and into an automobile in order to get to the courtroom on time.

DickTracey, I didn't say I didn't enjoy watching all of those "INNOCENT" losers standing their before a judge. Ok, a few said they were guilty but I was amazed at the kids that were in there and when Judge Lisa Davidson asked them what was the highest grade they completed in school and most of them said 9th grade, I was thinking, what the hell are they teaching in 9th grade? Just kidding. Perfect example of WHY KIDS SHOULD STAY IN SCHOOL! One mother was crying her eyes out. I felt like shouting at her that if she had been on her game as a Mother she wouldn't be in there balling in front of everyone. Let's face it, the children we raise and sick on society when their grown proves whether we were good parents or not. I didn't understand the dress code at all! One woman was in there with a skank shirt and ratty blue jean capris, not appropriate at all and then she said to the public defender,LOUDLY, "aint we gotta be to the second floor now?" Nice! I felt bad for the Public defender, he didn't even have that one on his schedule. What's worse is her attitude of entitlement. Like he was working for her. I would have said go down their and throw your stupid ass on the mercy of the court and leave me the hell alone. Idiot!
I do see why our judicial system is so damned screwed up. I suggest that everyone go down to Viera and spend a day in the court room and then try to figure out what the hell is going on. I needed a nap after all of that. For those kids who didn't finish school and are just out meandering, if I were the judge I would have told them that they would be on very strict supervision, probation until school started in August and if their ass wasn't in school they would spend the next 5 years at the sherriffs work farm on US1 I do have to admit, I've seen Judge Davidson in a really bad mood and yesterday I expected to see a bitch fest but to my disappointment she was as sweet yet stern as I have ever seen her. Talk about patients. She is the woman! I hope to see david Syrkus in front of a judge explaining why he did what he did instead of first denying it and then flipping his story to, the statute of limitations to the realtor did it and finally, I didn't do it! I think Shaggy wrote a song about it, "it wasn't me"
Now that you bring it up Golfbabe, I do remember how the judge always asked each and every one of the people who come before her in criminal court about their education. Do you think the Jerkus will tell her he has a degree or maybe not mention the crap he bought over the internet?

Weneedjustice and dicktracey, did you see the article in yesterdays paper about Wheeler? His FORMER Chief said that he resigned, turned in his badge and resignation. It sounded like a resignation under fire deal to me. The article stated that the department didn't appreciate him doing what he is accused of doing and that it's putting the department in a bad light. It also said that there were some problems with his work as well. OUCH! Two bad cops with out a badgee now.
When do you all want to get together? I have a pretty tight schedule over the next two weeks. I'm going to have to find time to breath. Let me know.

I found a much more in depth newspaper article about Wheeler yesterday. His Chief stated that he requested Wheeler to come to Fellsmere to talk about the situation and he refused. The girlfriend has wiggled on her testimony, now calling the whole thing "rough sex". lol Consider it if you can, haha. A guy has to blacken your eyes, pull your hair, and beat your body with his fists, all the time putting blankets over your head to muffle your cries for help and we call it a misdemeanor.
Hopefully the court system will take his threats to shoot her a little more seriously and put this guy in jail.

Firstly, “Golfbaghater” has been calling people names ever since he or she thought up this catchy little name which I’m sure this person thinks is clever. Remember I too was a “Dyke” according to this idiot. Sticks and Stones…….
If you’ll remember, this whole thing started out being about getting a crooked; thieving cop his just desert and an equally crooked thieving AND INCOMPETENT clerk out of city hall. These people from the other blog jumped on a band wagon of their own and came to war with us unarmed with the facts and did nothing but criticize us even though we had both evidence and the facts. We were very thorough, hence the arrest of Syrkus. Not showing their intelligence at all, if they had any.
They didn’t believe anything we said even after David Syrkus was arrested. In essence, we woke a bunch of board stiff people up and now they are running rampant and attacking anyone who doesn’t see it their way. Which by the way, is the wrong way. They call people “fag,” “dyke,” and other equally offending names because they are in a frenzy. This whole thing is giving them a purpose in their boring little lives.
I did read the “other” blah blog and your right, they are off the deep end and believe me, they are being laughed at by a whole lot of people, so I guess you could say they are our entertainment. They have no standing because they and only they have ruined their credibility by their ridiculous name calling and equally ridiculous ideology.
Secondly, neither I nor the others on this blog feel it is appropriate to call a commish and a member of the town board or anyone else these kinds of names. But that’s what they do. Is anyone keeping up with the payment of comp time to Davie? Has the last of his ridiculous numbers been paid? And when is the TM going to axe his name from the list of employees and hire Dan?
It appears his presence at a few Commission meetings has halted or delayed the TM from moving forward. Intimidation is a game he plays well. I say get rid of him and move forward. The department deserves at least that much.

the quotes I read in the Hometown News were right on point. A "black eye" was certainly one way of putting it. I personally don't have any problems with any of the officers, but still wonder why the MelBeach TM's allowed the previous chief to work so long, having been given all the evidence. They were suppose to be working for the good of the town and not for a single employee. By allowing him to work all thru the lengthy investigation, it seemed to say they condoned his deeds. Then you have that statement made during a meeting of the commission where one said he had no problem with what had been done as long as it had been done prior to his hire. It makes one wonder who is looking after the "good of the town." Thanks for publicly stating you are aware of the problems and doing things for the betterment of the department.
