Purpose FOR THIS Blog!
Ladies and Gentlemen, the arguement has come up about the purpose for this BLOG! I am here to tell you that we have allowed some interesting views because it keeps the conversation moving but dont get off topic. The reason I created this blog is to show people what DAVID SYRKUS is all about. After he gets what is coming to him (GOOO FDLE)Maybe we can move on to something else. I didnt like the fact that people were not allowed to post opinions on the "OTHER" Blog. So I created this one for EVERYONE to talk. Lets recap SOME of the things that we are trying to bring to everyones attention:
1. David was written up for quite a bit from what I understand... Channel 9 had to get a copy of disciplinary files from another sourse... HMMM SOUNDS LIKE A CHIEF TO ME! (NOT)
2. David , according to statements, has used force to intimidate people (EX WIFE)... Would like info on that rumor... OR IS IT JUST RUMOR?.. I know I know of one POLICE OFFICER (HONEST ONE) that saw David in his little Chief car with a victim of a crime committed by DAVIDS SON!... Funny thing is later on the charges were dropped... Wonder what happened in that car...
3. DAVID had an employee (WHISTLEBLOWER) from 7-11 fired by illegally using the FCIC computer and giving information to his boss and complaining because he was caught breaking the law... NO DRINKING AND DRIVING DAVIE.. ESPECIALLY IN A POLICE VEHICLE... YES, I have a copy of the video DAVID and the statement... Buying alcohol, were those condoms? FOR A CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT???? HMMMM...
4. STOLE a LOT of money from his EX-WIFE (the battered one) in a SHADY REAL ESTATE DEAL... DAVID, you are not SLIM SHADY! you just cause a lot of shade!
5 HAS LIED AND CHEATED to get what he wants... and will try to intimidate others to see things his way... ASK HIM ABOUT THE FAKE DEGREE HE HOLDS! OH WAIT.. I think they are accreditted through MAD MAGAZINE!
6.. The latest thing I hear is that David has taken credit for something that he had nothing to do with.. David, you and I and the rest of the people KNOW that you had Chuck or whatever his name is from FTSB come in and give you preaise to get your butt outa the large sling! YOU DONT DESERVE the publicity that you got in the paper..Be a man (HARD TO IMAGINE!) and admit that the award is not yours.. I will be printing more later... I wanna hear what you guys have to say about this... AND DAVID... PLEASE speak up and give us your point of view... OR HIDE BEHIND that GLASS WINDOW... Soon your window will be replaced by BARS!

In the town of Melbourne Beach, three of the officials who supposedly resigned because of me over the last four years have since reapplied for the town manager position.
Sad sue asks:
Who are the three former managers who are reapplying? You speak in generalities. You never give specifics. If you want to be believed give us specifics and we will ask them ourselves.
What are you trippin on sad sue? Can't you read? I read his letter then read the editorial section. Letters have to be 200 words or less, 200 words or less, here it is again 200 words or less. Do you comprehend now sad sue?
Knowing him he would write 20,000 words if any one would print it. Didn't you say he went on and on endlessly on your blog? I was told you even acted like a moron and made finger gesters at him in one meeting so he would stop talking. Now he writes 200 words and you want specifics?
I think it is time to give you a new name and call you Sadly Susan because you are really starting to annoy me.
Your support for the Chief under the circmstances is telling. You have an nasty agenda and it isn't good for our town.
Are you really so ignorant as to believe everything you read in Florida Today or any other paper?
Now just like channel 9 write and complain to florida today and ask for an investigation of their editorial board and him.
I have to say I really enjoyed the letter and if it is true it certainly casts a different picture than the one sad sue is painting.

You do realize you’re making a fool of yourself and that you are embarrassing our whole gender don't you? To Big_Ram, That wasn't a rumor, "Stud David" beat the crap out of his ex because, I quote, "I found out he was cheating on me, when I confronted him with it he got angry with me for "nosying" into his business and stuck his gun to my head, instead of pulling the trigger he beat me with it" end quote! She also included this in her statement obtained by the team of women who went to SC to get the true story. The true story that David tried to hide by intimidating her into signing a false statement whereas he told her to write down that she was "unconcerned" with any money she had coming to her from the sale of the house. He also told her that he didn't make any money off of that house in fact there was money due from him to the tune of approx. 3500 for closing costs. What a liar! The check with his name on it said he got over 65K. What really boggles my mind is the fact that he has these OLD people following him. I hope and pray he doesn’t make them drink kool-aid when he sees the FDLE coming to get him.
Melbourne Beach has just been shown that having a city manager that will not do his job correctly makes the town look bad.
Examples- Employee not doing her job like Burke (the web site)
Employee not being sent home while under investigation; Syrkus
(we all heard him tell Josh Wilson that he could not interview because of the investigation)
Maybe there should be something written into the Charter or in the Personnel Manual that states the commission can act if and when the city manager will not.
Don't feel bad Big Ram. No one on the other blog has a name. Nearly all are sad sue posts under anonymous. I found on your blog they won't let you in under A password. I assume that because even a careful to follow rules post from a certain user never gets on anymore.
The meeting is canceled for tonight and sad sue is whining like hell on the other blog. I had to call a comm. to see if was true. she new before they did. Well since when did she start coming to meetings? I am there for most regular and special meetings and she sure hasn't been there in a very long time.
If she wasn't interested in the job why did Gugelitta. say she was?
Why did she come to the meeting?
Why did she tell several people she was interested in the interim only job? Or maybe comm. walters was misquoted? or maybe he wasn't talking about her at all?

I just checked out the other blog and WOW are the natives pissed! It's like this "special meeting" is the highlight of their day. Do they serve free food there or something? People, I know you check this blog, they will reschedule the meeting so Sue, don't freak out so much, take a walk and talk to your neighbors, if they'll talk to you. That should keep you busy for a while.

the other blog has uncovered a conspiracy about this stupid meeting thing! Are they all on drugs? I have to wonder if they live for this stuff. I am going to take in a movie tonight. I thought about going to this meeting for some entertainment and now that it's cancelled I'll go for a more conventional method. What a bunch of losers! I have a suggestion; let's call a special meeting to demand that our own "wanna be chief" answer the questions and charges against him? That sounds more productive in that it would shed some light on this big issue of him being a thief, liar, wife beater, etc. I for one would like the embarrassment to stop for our town. Although, once the head idiot is arrested and gone from here we have to still worry about sad sue, price, and guglietta embarrassing us. I'm not seeing an end to this. I think I need a realtor. Anyone know a good one?
I have found Susan to be a very bright,concerned citizen. She is doing a wonderful job providing information that the sorry newspaper, Florida Today, should be looking into. I have great admiration for her.

You pay less taxes than anyone in Melbourne Beach according to the county tax collector and you whine 100 times more. You wouldn't be paying any taxes at all in Melbourne Beach or even living here if it wasn't for your crooked con job on two others. Check the other blog for the truth on that.
No more than 28 feet will be on the ballot. Got it or do we have to spell it out again for you and in this case WE is about 75% of the Town voters who pay taxes because they actually bought their homes and don't want a 45 foot house next to their 15 foot homes. .
Now the Donnie Price who sold us out and the Gugelitta who talks and talks but does nothing but plan for the next election have next to nothing to say about it. A petition for referendum begins in just 5 months if the council hasn't got off their butts and taken care of this. First of all Anonymous, your the only ones that I know of who have gone through that many managers, period. Much less hire the same one who was fired. Yes it is time to move on and try to gain some credibility for your town. However, your towns’ people won't be able to move on until Syrkus & Burke are held accountable for what they did to that poor woman in SC. Your towns’ people can not move on until people like Guglietta, Sad Sue, and Price move on, meaning get the hell out of your towns' business.
Second of all, your town couldn't possibly move on until you all stop blaming Walters for the problems that he doesn't even own. I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve some blame, after all, he did get Syrkus hired. Of course he does know he made a mistake and that right there is half the battle. People aren't laughing at all of you, people are laughing at the ones who are raise’ in so much hell and their wrong in light of the evidence, their just too dumb to open their eyes or their too embarrassed to admit they took the wrong side. Back to Steve Walters; a lot of people believe he does have the town's best interest at heart, he has done a lot for your town over the years and has taken a lot of crap from a few of you. I personally, would tell all of you to take a hike and let you all have the town so you can ruin it the rest of the way. Your all a bunch of ungrateful trouble makers and should buy some land, put some trailers on it and elect Sad Sue for your white trash trailer park queen and live happily ever after. Oh, and take oof and doof with you so they can be your chief and clerk. EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY THEN. Problem solved!

I hear another of the former town managers that applied for the interim town manager position has withdrawn after reading the editorial written by Walters. What does that tell you? Another one sees the handwriting on the wall should they take the position...interim or permanent. A fine mess the mayor and commissioners got themselves in to. They cancelled their meeting to appoint an interim...now they have no one. Nice job...fine mess you got yur town into. Sure glad I don't live there anymore.

Hello all, I am a longtime resident and taxpayer and a first time writer. I have read this blog and was told I could ask questions and make comments. I have known Steve Walters since he was a patrolman, he has always been surrounded by controversy. I also know Dean Darling and he knows me I know of his antics at the Melbourne Airport, he too has always been surrounded by controversy. I have observed Chief Sirkus over the last year and observed how the police department has been stabilized. I read these articles about the Clerk and how she over charged Mr. Darling for public records. As a taxpayer I can tell you that Mr. Darling has cost this town far more than what his public records have cost him. Think about it who do you think is answering all his letters and complaints. Its not WD, Burk,Sirkus or the Mayor its attorneys that we are paying what?$125-$150 an hour. Then consider staffs time and postage at $5 a pop for registered mail. So if you people want to complain look at the money being wasted by Dean Darling. Now for my question, could someone please explain to me why all of Walters and Darling’s supporters complain and want to get rid of Sirkus and Burk and the ones that support Sirkus and Burk are no good and don’t know what they are talking about. Unlike you folks I will sign my name.

Thanks for using your real name, now let's work on putting it toward a screenname to post with. So you believe that the clerk was ok in overcharging the requestor of public record. Let me ask this, Why are attorneys answering letters? Are they legal opinions? Are the people afraid to answer themselves? Is the fifth amendment getting in the way? You have the right to believe that he cost the town a lot of money but how much are you gonna spend to find a new town manager? A new chief when this one goes to the klink, and a new town clerk who can notorize? The people who support these two are not being told the whole truth by them. These two are manipulative and will have you believing the sky is polka dotted. I don't believe that people who support those lost causes are "no good" I believe they are not being told all the facts.

I can say we don't like how they have been thrust into the forefront when evidence came to light about Syrkus but that's what Syrkus does. Furthermore, have you looked at the charges? What do you think about them, you didn't mention them in your praise for Syrkus and burke. THEY ARE EVIDENCE IN A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. FDLE has possession of them. Once the investigation is concluded, I would be happy to show all I have. The people that gathered them are however on this blog and can vouch for their authenticity. Hell even ask the notary who certified them as true documents. There is a lot you have not seen but once this FDLE investigation is complete you will see everything. There is A LOT of evidence being compiled as we speak. You don't have to believe a word we say on here thats your right, but the people you call names do have a clue what there talking about. All i can say for right now is to sit tight and wait for this to finish and then all will be revealed. Thats all I can do or say for right now.

Well, Well, Well found out some very interesting information this morning. I just came from Town Hall and requested a copy of this letter from W.D. to Mr. Darling about the Chief’s degree. This is what I found out, W.D. wrote and sent the letter to Mr. Darling on Friday, January 13 certified mail. He also gave a copy to the Chief to put in his file. That’s two copies. Nobody else has requested public record for this letter. There was no mail Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and the Town hasn’t even received the notice from the post office saying Mr. Darling received the letter. This site has constantly stated that Mr. Darling doesn’t contribute to this site. So could someone please tell me how W.D.’s letter got posted to this site word for word if Mr. Darling isn’t posting and isn’t complacent with the people on this site. Sounds like Mr. Darling is just stirring the pot some more. Golfbag don’t bother replying to this post we know you aren’t going to agree and just make up names to call me or no, ,no I must be David Or Sad Sue. Not that we don't believe your story about going to Town Hall and asking about records, but didn't you answer your own question. Only two copies were given out, one to DD and one to Syrkus. Now what makes you think Syrkus is keeping this letter a secret and why should he. It was written by his hero Higginbotham who has saved his behind for weeks now. One has to think that Syrkus would be sharing the nasty little letter everywhere. Higginbotham hired Syrkus against the wishes of the town. The Town wanted an employee who had a degree, a real degree, not one bought from a non existing unversity like Hamilton.
And to top it all off, you had to have gotten your info at Town Hall from Pat Burke who doesn't have a reputation of always telling the truth.

That is really really funny. Chief Syrkus buys a degree from a university that does not exist. that offers no classes, and is nothing more than an old closed motel. He writes a four page paper and pays about $2,000 and they mail him a worthless piece of paper that he uses to fool a local selection board which includes several police chiefs, members of the city civil service board, and even police employees
An added touch by Hamilton college was to issue a fake college transcript listing classes chief Syrkus completed along with the amount of credits he earned.
All of this was designed for the sole purpose of fooling potential employers into thinking you have a legitimate college degree when all you did was buy a piece of paper.
Most intelligent people know that it takes years to earn a college degree. Buy it with a 4 page paper and Chief Syrcus had to know it was not a college but a dipolma mill.
Once he is on a list of police chief eligibles, that were selected finalists by the board he is interviewed and given the job after making sure the former police chief recommended him to W.D. and all involved.

Stop here and think about three personality traits a police chief must have in our opinion in order to effectively manage a police department integrity, honesty, and good character.
How can he manage now when every police officer on the force knows what type of a man he really is? They may not say anything but they know him well and will never respect him. I know a couple that think him a disgrace to the uniform. I guess the police chiefs that recommended him feel betrayed to.
How will he ever be able to maintain discipline when he is so tainted by this lack of judgment?
Throw in his terrible 20 year record as a police officer in numerous other police departments, now local fodder and talked about at local dinner parties, and you have a disaster for the city.
add to all of this the current fdle investigation where you have a city clerk notarizing forged signatures and I see hard times for the city in the near future.

I was there and have to agree with your comment the police chief was pacing back and forth while Dean Darling spoke. BUT you forgot to mention his charge to the front of the room twice when Dean read a statement from the chiefs x-wife about him hitting her with his gun. By his facial expression and the fast charging walk to the clerk I thought he was going to knock Dean on his butt. He went past him though to order the clerk to do something I couldn't hear and I thought wow Chief good move you just avoided a public ass kicking. Then he did it again on the other side of the room to the city attorney and there was no question about it he was one upset man.
I have to compliment Dean Darling. kept his cool even though others were trying to get him to shut up and demanded his 3 minutes. The council didn't know what to do! He got most of the three minute anyway.

1. David Syrkus should be fired, decertified, convicted for the crimes he has committed, and given the maximum sentenence allowed by law.After all, A police Chief, conspiring with others to steal something from another human being. Don't you agree that he should be held to the highest of standards? He took an oath to protect US.
2. Pat Burke should be fired, convicted, and sentenced to the maximum for the crimes she has committed. Here's another oath of office. Do you want to forgive her because she is a woman or maybe because she has children; so does the woman she helped take the house from.
3. Town Commissioners should go to school and learn how to run a meeting, listen to the people, and follow through with their campaign promises. Your allowing some to ruin the meetings for others does not make you look like real leaders. Telling a speaker to put something in a letter because YOU can't keep order is pathetic. You allow a police chief to run around during a meeting like a wild man, but you won't insist he keep the peace. Isn't that why we pay him the "big bucks".
Local government must find some way of better screening employees.

I'm not usually a mean person, when I'm attacked I attack back. It's kind of like giving back what you give me. The "killing the messanger" mentality is pretty interesting and often seen when there is a "MOB mentality" present. Another thing, why do you feel that we should come up with a solution for these individuals problems? Didn't they make the choice to commit these offenses? I believe that we are all responsible for the choices we make. David has hurt a lot of people as did Patricia Burke, some people cannot handle being in a position of authority, it goes to their head which is the case in this situation with these two individuals.
Furthermore, I can't help but notice, since those statements were made public by Dean Darling, it's "so they made a mistake, let's help them get out of it." Whereas before, WE were making things up and WE were persecuting Syrkus and Burke. I will direct you to the beginning comments of this blog. We pretty much spelled everything out for you and the others. What surprised many of us were the attacks started by the "Syrkus Camp" and we also warned you all that this is what he does; it's his MO to drag others into the spotlight thus taking it off of himself. No one listened, they just continued to attack. Now, we know that David himself has been on here posting under anonymous and his were the worst attacks to date. We know this because he has a big mouth and told some people who also had big mouths. You should also be aware that his ex-wife wasn't his only victim. Look at what he did to Dean Darling when all Dean did was request public records. Remember, he also publicized Dean’s Psych. Exam. That is against the HIPPA rules. Again, if you wake this preverbal sleeping dog he will bite you. All Dean wanted to do is become a police officer which believe it or not, he would make a very good one. You witnessed his even temper, his quiet personality, and he isn't very threatening at all. If you were pulled over by him it would be because you did something wrong and not because he has a “quota” to meet. When this whole episode plays out you will see “EVERYTHUNG” this guy has done.

Is there anyone out there who believes in the concept of "innocent until proven guilty". Yes, the evidence against two Town employees looks very convincing of guilt. If the outside agencies do a professional, impartial job
of digesting the evidence, then justice should prevail
and wrongdoing should result in punishment. Too many have been condemned to death row only to be later exonerated by DNA evidence. Conversely, some of the guilty have escaped conviction, as in O.J. Simpson. We should just hope that with the case at hand, a final, inescapable conclusion will result in proper action. Until then could you just manage to "chill out"! Maybe you all could take a step toward gaining maturity with your arguments if you stopped the name calling and acted more like educated adults. From what I've read on these web-sites, many writers
lose credibility with over-the-top statements. Just a suggestion when you contribute: Review your post and ask yourself , 'Would this be the statement I would make if I was an attorney, standing before a judge and jury in a court of law'? Innocent until proven guilty is what the jury will have to go by, many of us have seen first hand what this guy and gal have done to others therefore,in this case, we aren't subscribing to this concept. David should just be happy that none of us here will be on his jury.
Also, your comments about the name calling, were you one of the people that have been calling Dean Darling and Steve Walters names? Just wondering. Furthermore, have you watched any of the congressional hearings lately? What about political campaigns? Most involved are "educated" adults and when discussions get heated people start slinging mud and let the name calling begin. i just heard something interesting from a former melb. beach employee. last year an officer, working in melb beach at the time, filed a complaint on syrkus for showing improper racially bias material at the work place while working and using a town computer to do so. i have seen syrkus' file, didn't happen to see this complaint though. from what i hear wd conducted an investigation and interviewed people and evreything. then all of a sudden, done and nothing happened? what the hell is going on over there syrkus, you must be real good at having complaints misplaced. i heard this from a reliable source that worked directly for the dumbass! the officer that wrote the complaint no longer works for them, i wonder what happened to him? ran out because he stood up to you? maybe another law suit for your town!

Now I know not everbody agrees with what I am saying , but most of it is the truth, with exceptions of some advise to the commisoners and D.D. that is just my opinion.It is all just my opinion. Well it seems that on Saturday night a reporter was busy busy busy on the phone asking for comments about David Syrkus. HMMMM, wonder what that's all about? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Tha left shoe should be dropping real soon.
Hey, maybe it's time to start a new thread--you're up to 149 in this one alone. Maybe a new thread about the impact of the new town manager appointee? Will this individual have any impact on the Syrkus Circus?
One last comment before a new thread begins. In advance, I thank the person behind the curtain.
I would suggest some people should review the tale of Gulliver's Travels written by J. Swift in the 1700's. The book was a satire of British government at the time. George Orwell later called the book " the sixth most indispensable book of world literature. Like Gulliver, I've experienced many adventures. My "vacations" would be the worst nightmares for most people; I deliberately choose to challenge myself to the extreme. I like to discover my own strengths and weakness by pushing to my limits. It's the only way I know to fine tune my mental and physical abilities. I'm not alone; I associate with many others who do the same.
As I watch you tear yourselves apart, people of Melbourne Beach, I can only feel sad that such a great Town suffers in turmoil. I'd like to help you but know the political issues will never allow that to happen, though I've offered to help.
I've been an elected official and understand how your Commissioners feel while under attack. A message to the Commissioners,"That which does not kill you, makes you stronger". It has always worked for me. What has also worked for me are the concepts of commonsense, reasoning, objective analysis, and life experience. Be positive in your thinking and by all means, adopt the motto, "Failure is not an option". You'll do O.K. So, each day you step to a new starting line, each day a new opportunity to make things better. Good luck will come from within.

WD is a professional with integrity. Just because he has resigned does not mean he has stopped doing his job or is not concerned about issues he is questioned about
what a joke? WD a professional with integrity? Where have you been sad sue? When did he ever do his job? Give us some examples of his integrity? Give us some examples of the good job yo usay he did? I can't beleive just how dumb you really are. Why don't you start listening to the thruth instead of making up your own.
He probably won't last a year in his new job. Couldn't even investigate a complaint on the police chief. Doing nothing for two years doesn't mean he did a good job.

My opinion is that once again sad sue does not get it. Read the town charter. I do believe it is the police officers job to enforce the law. Since many codes call for criminal pentalies it is their job to enforce town code.As for melbourne asking the cops to be on the look out for things that need to be done by public works I say good idea. It might prevent an injury to a pedestrian or a car accident. It could help keep the city looking good by taking care of problems before they become issues. If they had that requirement in Manalapan maybe chief syrcus could have stayed awake!

NORTH PORT - James Bursick, North Port's assistant city manager and public works director, resigned late Friday afternoon, citing personal reasons.
Bursick's decision, which was effective immediately, creates another hole in the top management of one of Florida's fastest-growing cities.
City Manager Steven Crowell said Bursick's decision was based upon "mutual understanding." He declined to comment on whether Bursick was asked to leave.
Attempts to reach Bursick for comment on Friday were unsuccessful.

The city was not keeping up with road maintenance and garbage so they hire Bursick and expect him to do something about it in less than a year? Isn't the city manager there responsible? Why isn't he leaving? Quoting 'I think the pressure is on for people to do the right thing or leave'? No kidding? Only in Melbourne Beach can you sit on your ass do nothing and get a pay raise! Do tell insinuations against our former town manager. Like what? Why I never heard of such a thing. Sounds just like poor paul saying he didn't do his job with the exit interviews. Now stop it comm. walters or I will make you stand in the corner! I am your boss! Pay attenton to me or else!
Isn't this the same town manager you claim has integrity? The one that ignored criminal allegations and did nothing when he discovered a lie on an employee application.
Just so you know sad sue I heard the vote was 5-0 to put this guy on temporairly because idiots on the commission kept pushing to hire cimuo but then she dropped out leaving Price and Gugelietta looking like fools! Did you not hear your pal $1200 Price say it was imperative to hire right away at the last town meeting. Pay attention the jerk has spoken! They wanted fast they got fast now live with it and shut the hell up.
